6 May 2023 - ACA Threads is proud of its long relationship with Madeira Garnfabrik. We have been the Authorised Distributor for Madeira’s Industrial Embroidery threads since the early 1980’s.

Madeira are at the forefront of innovation for all things embroidery and are often involved in some very interesting and exciting projects.

The latest of which was the Anointing Screen used at the Coronation of King Charles III.

Sustainability, a long-held passion of the King, was the key theme for the anointing screen that was used for the Coronation on the 6th of May 2023.

The tree and branches were digitised and machine embroidered by Digitek Embroidery, using Madeira’s SENSA Green,the first coloured machine embroidery thread made from 100% biodegradable lyocell fibres, upon which the Royal School of Needle Work hand stitched the Commonwealth leaves.
