What does ACA Threads do?
ACA Threads manufactures, imports and distributes sewing, technical and embroidery thread. We also offer yarn and thread dyeing services for the commercial weaving and knitting industries. At our factory we can do dyeing and winding. Having our own dyehouse enables us to support businesses who are geared to the fast fashion industry that requires quick turnaround times.
What are your trading hours?
Monday - Thursday 8:00 - 17:00; Friday 8:00 - 15:00 and we are closed on Public holidays. We also close for a few weeks over Christmas and New Year in line with Textile Industry Bargaining Council terms.
Can anyone buy from ACA Threads? Do I need an account?
Anyone can buy from ACA and you do not need an account. The minimum amount of information that we will require to process your order is a contact name, contact number and email address.
Why can customers not buy Seralon 1000m directly from ACA Threads?
The small 1000m Seralon cops are manufactured exclusively for our wholesales partner who supplies all the retail outlets in South Africa. You can purchase your 1000m cops from any of the retail stockists.
Do you have a price list?
We do not have a price list that we distribute. You can however contact us and we will gladly provide you with pricing on the specific product that you require.
Do you have a catalogue?
We do not have a catalogue, but our website serves as a reference for the products that we offer. You can contact our Sales Office, where someone will assist you with your specific requirements. You can contact them here.
How do I place an order?
We suggest that you email your order to: orders@acagroup.co.za
If you’re ordering for the first time, we will require the following information:

Email address: (for accounts and if different from the email that was sent)
Physical address: (for delivery purposes)
Remember to include the product name, colour and quantity of your thread.
One of our customer service team members will process your order and a proforma invoice will be emailed to you. Once we receive a proof of payment or the funds have cleared into our account, your order will be dispatched. Once dispatched by courier you will receive your order within 2-3 days depending on where you're situated. Areas classified as outlying by the couriers that we use, may take longer to be delivered.
How can I pay for my order? What forms of payment do you accept?
You can do an EFT or cash deposit. The banking details can be found on the proforma invoice that will be emailed to you. If you are in Cape Town, you can come to our offices where we have direct payment facilities.
Where can I get a shade card or colour chart?
You can request shade cards or colour charts from our Sales Office. You can contact them here.
Do you deliver & how much will it cost?
We deliver country-wide and also cross-border to other Southern African countries, such as Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Angola, Swaziland, Lesotho etc. Some deliveries are free of charge, subject to a minimum order value being taken.
